BOLIVIA MISSION TRIP
Date: January 27 – February 11, 2020
Where….Cochabamba (a large urban city) and Uncia (a remote town in the Andeas mountains)
What are we doing…..in Cochabamba we connect with an organization “FreeHands” which is involved with prison ministry. We also connect with a local church for street/homeless ministries.
Tuesday was a short flight onto Cochabamba where we will remain for the next 2 weeks. All team members and their luggage arrived safely. Most of Tuesday was spent sorting through 700 pounds of luggage and preparing lessons and activities for this week’s projects. Wednesday, we spent the day at an orphanage for girls ages 6 -18. The kids here are still on summer break from school until next week. The day was filled with Bible stories, crafts, and games, and ended with a pizza and ice cream sundae dinner. Not sure who had more fun–the girls or us. Thursday we will spend the morning preparing food that we will bring with us for the 225 inmates at a local prison. Unlike in Canada, the inmates here are not provided with food and they spend their day learning trades while they are in the prison.
The team members all bring their own unique skills and personalities and are working amazingly well together. We are all healthy…but please continue to pray “what goes down, stays down.”
Thank you for the emails and prayers from you, our team members at home.

THANK YOU for participating in farm work days, for all those encouraging pats on the back, words of support and prayers, for the financial contributions. Without your support this mission trip would not happen.
